CAMAST

In this unique partnership between the University of Cambridge and the Avanti Schools Trust, there exists the opportunity to create, develop and research a family of schools across the globe which are designed to enhance the educational experiences of students in the school and the wider community.

Academic research will demonstrate both portable ‘good principles’ of educational practices but will also be distinctively placed to demonstrate how local needs and cultural expectations should be framed within any such development. Both partners are well-respected in the field of education and bring complementary skills and knowledge to this project: world-class teacher training and development programmes, a wealth of academic research, an international network of school communities and extensive international school development and operating experience.

CAMAST thus offers the opportunity to enhance the education experience of students and teachers alike. It is a rare opportunity to develop such an exciting scheme which will draw on established successful education and business principles, and one which stands to enhance the work and reputations of all those involved.

CAMAST’s first priority is India. The University of Cambridge will provide the academic, research and policy elements of the partnership, whilst AST will provide the operational, management and school leadership elements.
